“What is that feeling when you’re driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? – it’s the too-huge world vaulting us, and it’s good-by. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies.“
How fitting that I come across this quote from Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road” as I make the bittersweet departure from my 10 month stint in Australia. I’m leaving a significant milestone in my life behind, leaving friends behind, and leaving countless new experiences and memories behind, but all of this is overshadowed by the excitement I feel for what the next 55 days of unknown hold in store. The next two months are going to be a whirlwind of new tastes, sights, sounds and adventure and the only way left to look is forward.
